| Age: Women must be 21 years or older to attend club events. This is due to the fact that alcohol will be served at some events. Please drink and drive responsibly. Advertising/selling: The membership directory is property of WCSWANS. Please do not share its contents with anyone outside of the club (unless you get approval from that member). It is of course fine to pass out business cards or invite some women you have met to your business event. However, please do not use the directory to “spam” or cold call individuals or the entire club about your business. We have several ways to support your business without anyone feeling pressured or receiving excess mail or e-mail (i.e. listing of member’s businesses, call outs for business events etc.). If you have any questions or have other ideas how members’ businesses can be supported by our club, please contact us! Attendance at functions: Attendance is not mandatory at any event. Therefore attendance will vary at functions in regards to interests and time constraints of members. Some events will have a lot of people, while others may have only a few. How do we gauge if an event is a success? Even just having a few women gather is a success because we’ve created the opportunity for those women to have fun and connect which may not have occurred otherwise! Dues: Please send in dues within the week of your renewal date. Please do not attend “members only” events until payment and updated forms have been completed. Should an individual’s check bounce in her payment for dues or events she will be subject to an additional fee. Respect: Women’s Club SWANS is not associated with any religion or political stand or party. We invite women of all backgrounds to enjoy the club. This group is about supporting women from all walks of life so we welcome diversity. We also ask that members not engage in proselytizing. If in the unfortunate circumstance a member is unable to follow the above guidelines and/or her behavior is continually negatively affecting other members in the club or the club as a whole, she may be asked to leave the group, dues forfeited. This would be a last resort as we hope that should any difficulties arise they would be resolved in a positive and respectful way for all parties involved. The WC SWANS reserves the right to remove a member from this Club without warning if it is deemed necessary (i.e. if the behavior is extreme and/or unsafe to other members).
